Myanmar 2-07, a photo from Shan, North

Photographer's Note

A little away from "Paung Daw Oo Pagoda Festival", that is main purpose of this trip. This is " Kakku ruins", laocated 70 km from Inle lake. In the 12 century the king in this regin aksed all citizens to build up one Stupa a family, so now 2478 stups are there. This area was not opened to foreign tourists
until 2000 Sep.as this area's tribe (Pa-Oo tribes) has conflict with the centarl goverment.

What an amazing photo of all those elegant and slim towers built so closely together. The reflections in the calm water are amazing and look fantastic. The colours are perfect in this lighting and are very well-saturated.

Kakku a little gem way away from the tourists of Inle lake, you have captured the old stupas beautifully with a well chosen pov. The reflections are wonderful.

This view is fantastic. You photographed the stupas from an angle where they look like strange trees in a forest and are perfectly reflected in the calm water. The clouds provide a perfect background.

I thought that this was a mountain reflection in a lake ;) . But openenig The thumbnail , I can discover an incredible forest of temples with the amazing relection in the water mirror .

There are a lot of pictures of this impressive ruin that doesn't look at all like a ruin, available on the internet, but there is also remarkably little information available. I think there is a lot to tell about this impressive heritage that you have beautifully printed twice here.

Double image! Very impressively composed and excellent dead straight on shooting angle, pulling the eye closer to the imposing compact slim stupas. It's full of contents, balanced, colour combination and clarity look splendid under
rich blue sky and white cloud whilst mirror reflection adds another alluring element. This is another fine effort. Congrats

Hello Takero, what an amazing sight, it is hard to understand that there are so many stupas. From the thumbnail, I like others thought that they were trees.
You had perfect conditions so the reflection is very beautiful.

Hi Takero,
this is so pretty!
The density of the structures is amazing, they make a wonderful repeated motif here.
Perfect point of view across the water which provided an opportunity for reflection too.
The clouds aligned themselves nicely behind the stups.
Sky is so nicely polarized with the effect even stronger in the reflection.
Excellent quality work, and I don't think I have even seen anything like that before!!
