Photographer's Note

Just a return to Burma!
Sometime ago, I've posted a photo of the gilded stupa of the famous Shwezigon Pagoda, situated in Bagan.
Shwezigon is one of the most important Buddhist temples in the country. It was started in the 11th century, by King Anawrahta, in order to shelter some relics of Buddha and also 37 nats, or spirits - 37 sculptures, whose copies are now placed on a hall and can be visited by pilgrims and also by tourists. The gilded stupa is surrounded by small temples and shrines. It was in one of them that I found this little child. Her mother was around, asking for some money.
