Photographer's Note

I left Pagan/Bagan at 6 a.m. by boat. I arrived to Mandalay by 5 p.m. The storm welcomed me ! The panoramic views were splendid. The boat transport placid. The Pagoda Shwe Kyet Kya, built during the XII century, Pagan period. Eastern side of the Ayerwaddy River and its name means 'The golden chicken drops'. They told me its legend: One of the living Buddha, he was a golden rooster who was living near this area. One day the King visited this area where he saw suddenly the golden rooster which was dropped from flying.. The King decided to built a Pagoda to honoring Buddha ... to be 'the golden rooster'.
Mandalay a place which cannot be missed.
