Photographer's Note

Contrary to popular belief, city life does exist in Mongolia, even in the most remote provinces that we usually associate with ghers and horses scattered in the emptiness of the steppe.

This is a snapshot of daily life on the central square of the small Mongolian border town of Zamyn-Uud.
Life there is ordered according to the arrivals and departures of the trains on the Moscow-Beijing line. The railway station is just opposite.
