Photographer's Note

Malaysian jungle is a picturesque place of the world full of diverse creatures. I spent some time in it, however, for business purposes - no time to enjoy this diversity and to jump after these creatures trying to catch them on the film. All what I could do was to spent a day in a butterfly 'zoo' in Kuala Lumpur. Quite 'technical' but still wonderful experience.

Macro lens and circular lens flesh Vivitar Marco-flash 5000 (small bugs) was used. Scanned by Nikon CoolScan IV-ED. Picture cropped to rectangular format; background was masked and blurred (Gaussian blur. 2 pix radius) and resampled to 650 pix width; contrast slightly enhanced and sharpened using Unsharp Mask, level about 57%, 2 pix radius. JPRG level 38 (Corel PhotoPaint notation).
