Photographer's Note
Sorry, you can't see what she's looking at. But maybe she's thinking about something else. I wish I had taken another shot with a higher DOF for comparison.

Hi Latiff, I like it with this DOF choice, very clear separation and invokes curiosity as what she's looking at, but somehow still manages to give the viewer an idea. Thanks for sharing...Alex

Hi Latiff,
no, no higher DOF, like this it´s excellent. The background is extremly blurred, but still we can recognize a woman drinking something as the one in the foreground.
Compliments, chris

No reason for anything higher than 2.8...
Just about as perfect as it can be...

Love the juxtaposition and dynamic between the lonely woman and blurred glamorous poster. Perfect focus on the character. Simple and effective.

Ciao,
excellent result! Very good scene taken with this lonely thoughtful girl enjoying her cup of coffee with the look lost in the empty space. Perfect background.

marvelous portrait ! The face that we should see is not the one we see . This give such a strong impact to the picture. A masterpiece.

Hi Latiff. Very graceful shot. Love the dof. If I am going to be super critical, maybe I would have cropped that yellow bar at the top. Just a very minor personal preference. But I like it very much. Chris

Hello Latiff
I like it like this, with the focus on her and blurry background. Like maybe her thoughts :)

Hi Latiff,
Creative shoot, I like this artistic photo, I'm greedy to see the fully tea set if able to include the plate also. Color, lighting and her posture from back all togather create mysterious feels, good shoot.

This is in my opinion your best portrait work so far, it is exactly sharp where it matters most, the girl with a cup and the poster in blur. Good choice of f/2.8 that gives the DOF effect. The winner of this shot is the composition and POV.
I see you have tried iso400 for this one. I would perhaps comment on the composition, after all.
.crop of part of the arms and cup?
.crop out the top yellow? or include more of it
I still like this shot, especially seeing the sharp outline of the girl. Is this at a hotel bar?
Excellent work.
Greetings from Sarawak.

Hello Latiff,
It's a great photo out of a great camera! A true artistic work. I've gone through your latest photos - some of them might have received an even better apreciation in Treklens.
Friendly regards,

Hello Latif,
I like the combination of the woman and 'the' woman in the frame.
The picture is as clear as it can probably get and the slightly silhouetted appearance of the woman here but I do agree with Bill with regards to the options for crop.
Thanks for sharing

Very good composition, Latiff!
The focus and sharpness are flawless. The pleasing background blur is also great!

Hello Latiff,
never mind, it is just perfect so! Sure, the poster in the background could have been sharper and/or a bit of the face of the woman could have been visible and may be the final result would not have been worse - but I like this version very much. It gives just the proper amount of information for the viewer to understand - but only after thinking it over, not at the first sight.
Congratulations!
Laszlo
