Photographer's Note

The Jubilee clock tower, in George Town, Penang, is a Moorish-style Jubilee clocktower at the junction of Light street and Beach street. Built to commemorate Queen Victoria's 1897 Diamond Jubilee, the tower is sixty feet tall, one foot for each year of Victoria's reign. A corner of the wall surrounding Fort Cornwallis is situated behind the tower. The clock tower is slightly tilted, a result of bombing during the Second World War. Source : wiki

Hello Miguel,
The steel sculpture could probably have been found anywhere in the world, but the tower no doubt belongs in southeast Asia. You were wise to point out that the tower is tilted, or you could have been criticized for tilting the photo. ;-) Other features confirm it is straight. The fine light has given the photo a nice warm tone.

Hello Gueguel, I like the idea that the tower is 60 feet tall in commemoration of Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee.
I guess that she never got to see it!
It is a rather fine tower, and still in good repair.
An interesting scene with good notes.

What a charming tower. I like its unique design. The decorations are so nice: I like the balcony with a charming arch.

The clock tower stands out well from the light blue of the sky and also the warm sidelight was very attractive here. The large work of art at the middle of the roundabout is also a good addition to the composition.

Hello Miguel, Beautiful white clock tower. There are many fine details here, like a delightful small balcony and the dome. I think I have seen somewhere a similar tower, or maybe similar occasion, but where it could be? I can't remember. Do I see the high mast over the trees? Nice picture. Interesting modern sculpture.

I must have seen this tower at one point or anoth have travelled all around the city and out to Kek Loksi and Batu Ferringhi beach. Good sharpness and natural looking colour. Tfs!
