Photographer's Note

There is no wet market without food in South East Asia including Malaysia. That's the case also in the morning street market in the heart of Georgetown. Along the street there are the conventional restaurant or more precisely coffee shops where some hawkers offer food and the coffee shop owner sells the drinks. For this street market there also is a small courtyard which is converted in an open air food court. You order your food and drinks from the hawkers around the courtyard, they will serve it to the table. This women is preparing chicken noodle soup. The dips consisting of soy sauce with thinly sliced bird chilies - the red one at the right. Wanna have some soup or some Dim Sum or ... it's your choice.
