Photographer's Note

The first beach when leaving Batu Ferringhi towards Teluk Pahang is the sandy bay of Teluk Pisang. The name really fits the shape, it looks like a banana. There is a small open air restaurant at the roadside, but no other facilities at the beach. At least so far no illegal water sport activities and no souvenir vendors. Here the locals are among themselves, almost no tourist makes it to Teluk Pisang, but it really is a lovely place. The boat at the left actually is a crab fisher who sell his catch to the beach visitors. The other boat is commuting around the island of Penang on demand
