Photographer's Note

These 88 storey Petronas towers, measuring 410 meters high, were the highest in the world from 1998 'till 2004. Now the Taipei 101 in Taipei, Taiwan is the highest (448m).

The building is owned by Petronas. It is Malaysia's biggest oil company, owned by the government. They were also involoved in the construction of Kuala Lumpur's circuit Sepang and sponsor the Sauber Formula One team.

these towers were build in just three years, completed in 1998 and featured in the 1999 movie Entrapment with Sean Connery and Catherine Zeta-Jones.
It was designed by Argentine architect CÚsar Pelli and has Islamic characteristics (Malaysia being a Muslim country). On the 41st floor (170m) is a skybridge that connects these two towers. The skybridge is open to visitors on certain times. On the ground floor is the big expensive Suria Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC) mall.

It took this picture just on the edge of the fountain at the park side of the building. Minuscule waterparts fell on the tiny lens, giving it a nice effect.

Edit: I see now in the EXIF that the flash was fired so it could be just waterdrops from the fountain being ignited by flash and not something on the lens?!

Edit II: On advise of kittyhawk, euryan and roamermark I did a workshop on my own picture.

dragonslayero, roamermark, euryan, lybil, paura, izler, wtirado has marked this note useful
