Photographer's Note
Dataran Merdeka, or Merdeka Square (Independence Square) in Kuala Lumpur. It was where the British flag was lowered in 1957 and Malaysia became an independent nation. The square is actaully a Cricket Club originally and there is still a pitch there.
The lenghty building we see is The Sultan Abdul Samad Building, built in 1897 in the Indian Moghul style. It is huge and one of the most prominent colonial buildings in the region.

Justin,
This is a nice shot of this fine architecture. The gardens in the foreground add depth and a border for the shot. The people add points of interest as well as a sense of scale for the shot. The lighting and colors are great and the photo has nice sharpness.

Lovely panoramic, not your style but I like it a lot. It's incredible the contrast of architectures, very striking, and it seems very clean too.
Hasta luego amigo!

Hi Justin,
I just read you post in Forum. So, it is the truth that now there are not so many street shots and you may feel lonely here. But do not leave this site and do not delete the photos you posted! Still this site can bring a lot of joy. Even though there are many ex-Trekkers on FB or FP, the contact is loose.
I like this postcard very much, interesting Moghul style building, different than in India, and modern buildings as well, nice greeen area. Excellent composition.
Warm regards
Malgo

Hi Justin,
everything is ok with you?
I read your ad in the forum that you want to cancel your account.
I hope you do not do this and stay here with us.
Good POV with beautiful architecture and good DOF.
TFS!

Hi Justin, it is nice to see another LX3 user here. I like the combination of tropical vegetation and the mixture of traditional and modern buildings at the background. Greetings, Tolga

Hi Justin,
What surprised me in Malaysia is the control of the lush greenery. As in the English garden ;) This photo is an example of this observation I think. Did you see the trim park with a lake nearby?
p.s.You asked how it was in Asia. Honestly - in SE Asia I feel like a fish in water! I LOVE IT and I'm going to go back soon.
tfs. Beata
