Photographer's Note

Hi to all TE members! After posting so many landscape photos here, I thought of putting in my major interest in photography - aviation.

The main reason for me to get a DSLR is to capture metal birds like this. After visiting the nearest airport from my home (50km one-way) for almost 1 year on a regular basis, glad to say that I have a small collection in A.Net

I was around the airport to capture the special departure of Kazakhstan president Nursultan Nazarbayev on a 3-day official visit to Malaysia.

In was already in the evening, I went to another spot to capture more planes since the light was superb that day. Flying past my head that day was this jumbo with the name Hibiscus I. Our national flower is Hibiscus and it was featured in this special livery plane.

Our national carrier MAS painted this plane early last year to lauch the new refurbished aircraft and services. From the news report, it took the engineering team 5 months with 550 liters of paint enough for 40 houses to complete make over the plane.

This is the very first special livery plane by MAS and it was an instant hit around the world of aviation spotters. Since then, another jumbo was painted in the exect theme and another Boeing 777 in Heliconia theme.

For all aviation buffs, enjoy the awsome view. As for non-aviation members, enjoy the stunning blue sky on that day.
