Photographer's Note

Road to Perdition? no way, i think its road to REpenTance...

heE... why? when one follow its lead, theres no more seducing temptation except the feeling of being "human" again, appreciating nature to its fullest... yet, it depends on you who perceive your life...

Enough with that, lets go to the main subject... this is the road that will lead you to Danum Valley.. actually this picture was taken IN the area and not OUTside the Valley so its supposed to be "the road IN Danum" and not "the road TO danum".. however, i like the view of this road since it is a bit... photogenic i should say when compared to other roads leading the same destination.. why? i just love the scene of red coloured soil that contrast with the surroundings, green flora, blue sky... its a mix of three substitutes of nature... only that its lacking a subject... fauna.. argh.. it doesnt matter... i rather exclude it if it's a Human...

It was a hot sunny day, but bringing along my tripod with me really did helped this photo.. set my iso speed to only 80, less sensitive but really great for
capturing details as it is much better in capturing landscape compared to ISO 800 and above... yet, setting such ISO to such a low speed would obviously
require you to slow down your shutter speed... but still, if you want a greater DOF, just remember the fact that the smaller your f-number, the greater DOF you will get.. eventhough your focal length is set to Infinity, the f stop will still remain a factor in determining the best DOF you will get... in this picture i didn't get much use of my F-number settings since its not the adjustable, highly prefered DSLR... as i only have a piece of low end powershot;P but still, it doesn't mean creativty doesn't play its role isn't?!

anyway, the road to perdition is always everywhere, you decide whether it leads you there or not, no matter what and where the road is... and as for this road? you decide it...
