Photographer's Note

The normal colour of the Mekong River is very muddy but on this occasion near the caves of Pak Ou, up river from Luang Prabang, the sun was high to the left in the middle of the day turning the muddy look to one of gold. (I may have had a polarizing fliter on)
At the same time it brought a bit of colour to the limestone cliffs where the caves are. Tourist boats wait below the caves.
