Photographer's Note

While taking a break from walking in one of the numerous Wats (monasteries) located in the capital city of Vientianne, a young novice monk invited me to his room in the Wat. Aside from an orange colour dominated wardrobe, the room looked like any teenager's room. The wooden windows and walls are plastered with magazine photo cut-outs, and english novels left as gifts from travellers before me lie in a neat stack next to a reading table. While taking the picture in his small room, I wished that I had a good fast 18mm. But since I didn't, you have to use your imagination.

Good environmental portrait, Ngai, very natural and informative. The light is just right and so is the look of this young monk surrounded by his things...
