Photographer's Note

I have looked with amazement at Paul's photos from Vang Vieng. I can't recognize anything. It was such a quiet small place, with very few tourists. Before the journey, I read about it in a newspaper and decided to include it in the schedule. It was unknown. How many hotels could be there? A few I suppose. I looked at the Google map. There are so many of them. Quite unbelievable. It seems that only the mountains remained the same. Maybe it has changed even more than Hoi An. Anyway, I am glad that I was there 18 years ago.

Here and in the Workshop the wooden bridge, but probably not the one from Paul's photos.
Paul wrote about the kayaking there. In Workshop #2, my friends are preparing for a kayak ride. You can see the river - there is nothing there, no restaurants, no platforms.
Have a nice safe Sunday.
