Photographer's Note

A procession of monks in saffron robes pass by people kneeling outside a temple. It's another early morning snap at Luang Prabang alms giving ceremony- a peaceful religious tradition since ancient times and, being one of the most picturesque attractions in town. A unique glimpse into a world where religious tradition is still adhered to by most of the population in their day to day life. Laos is a culturally and visually striking and that very moment is not to be missed.

I used this opportunity to grab the moment of those tourists in action to provide a nice counterpoint.

Setting: 70 mm, 1/10 sec, F4.5, ISO Raw 200, 0655 hrs
