Photographer's Note

There are already photos of this magnificent temple on TE but here's my take on it anyway. Wat Ho Pha Bang isn't old - it only dates from the 1960s and was built to house the Pha Bang, an 83cm-tall gold-alloy Buddha for which the whole city is named. It arrived in Luang Prabang in 1512. It hasn't yet taken up residence in the temple.
There's lots of shining gold and plenty of dazzling white when the sun is out.
