Photographer's Note

Taken at a small Yao village north of Muang Sing near the Chinese border. The hat, the indigo shirt and red "boa" are all part of their trademark dress. It was a wonderful experience sharing some time with them there.

Well spotted and captured Steve - great expression and sharpness of the subject with good colour and even the out of focus boy in the background adds to the photo.

Hello Steve,
A good title for this picture. It says exactly what it shows. You captured the twinkle in her eye perfectly. I don't really know how to interpret the look she's giving you. Some amusement I guess, maybe with a trace of boredom. "Oh well, here comes another tourist, better not make him disappointed".
