Photographer's Note

This was a split second simple shot of an Akha woman amongst the crowd at a vibrant tribal market in Luang Namtha, Northen Laos.

I was very much attracted by her distant look seemingly unaware of my lens, her traditional outfit and the elaborate head dress. Her natural expressions and charm imho, certainly do make her more appealing.

I think she deserved to have her stories not only told, but shown while I tried to capture the truest picture of this individual to the very best that I could.

Setting: 200 mm, 1/2000 sec, F3.5, ISO Raw 200, 0945 hrs

Hi Abmdsudi, my neighbour today

You use well your zoom at the maximum range and with a large aperture in order to increase the sharpness of the lady face against a dark bokeh which reinforces the red hues of the cloth. The offcentered framing gives us the ime to check the profile of the woman and wander in the blurred area

Excellent portrait and a well-chosen framing with the face on the left side and enough dark vague background in the centre and the right.
The expression in the face is intriguing. To me it looks like she is thinking of something that is bothering her and that is not you, taking a picture of her.

Good use of a shallow dof an excellent placement of the hilltribe woman in the bottom left corner. Nice sharpness and her well lit red shirt stands out

maybe she was only tired, resting the mind for while or thinking about a trouble. nice lateral view with excellent light. the typical aspect of her clothes and adornments are perfectly shown here.
