Photographer's Note

I went to Kisakata in Akita Prefecture by night train Bus for Honjō, Akita from Tokyo Station on that day. It is the Bus trip for about 8 hours. There is the Kisakata seashore in which the large herds of the seagull gather. I was the purpose going to see it in this time. Although it was the end of the month in October, seagulls were flying to the seashore. That was northern area when eyes awoke out of sleep. It had been past a little 5:00 in the morning. I got down this bus at the Kisakata station front of JR. It was still dark in the surrounding. After resting for a while on the bench of the station, I went to the seashore on foot. To the street, nobody is walking at this time. So, it seems that the town itself is sleeping deeply. Heavy clouds had covered in the sky. I walked slowly toward the seashore. The store and private houses which faced the street are a very common building. It was after it rains, and the street got wet and the puddle was made in some places. In the seashore, many seagulls were forming the group. It was carrying out coming-and-going movement in sands and rocks. Seemingly it is the sea of northern area and a wave is violent. The weather changed quickly, it beginning to rain from cloudy weather, or clearing up suddenly. After I saw the seagull on the seashore for about 1 hour, I returned to the station, rode on the train, and went to Akita Station.
