This photo is one that I took with Yatsu tidal flat in Narashino, Chiba in the fall of seven years ago. Most of the land is reclaimed after another From the 1960s to the 1970s, flats of Tokyo Bay in Chiba Prefecture, has been developed as residential areas and industrial areas. However, it is subject to landfill since it was owned by the former Ministry of Finance by the Tone River spillway plan, flats of this Narashino Yatsu was left like a pond leading to the sea in the channel two. After that, there was also reclamation project, but also advertising by conservationists and that this tidal flat has been pointed out as a rare habitat of migratory birds of sandpipers, plovers, and ducks etc flying to Tokyo Bay, citizens became to recognize its importance with 41ha area. After that, here is specified to birds and beasts reserve in the country (Group brought over land) in 1988. In addition, it was registered in the Ramsar on June 10, 1993.
