There was a large lake [Lake Ogawara] close to where I worked on Misawa Air Base. Sometimes I would go to the the fisherman's house. He had a house with a thatched straw roof. Here he is one morning early.

great photo...i'm a big fan of black and white photos and this one i like a lot...composition is very strong...i also like the noisy/grainy feel to the photo...the scene and the grain give the photo and older look which works out very well...it feels like the photo is telling the story of the fisherman's life...
