Photographer's Note

This photograph is taken out of the view tower of the Seto Ohashi commemoration park located in Sakaide-shi, Kagawa in November four years ago. Here is a park which commemorated Seto Ohashi's completion and was located at the Kagawa prefecture side. The view tower which it goes up and down while rotating 360 degrees is located in one corner of a site. From this photograph, we can see quiet Seto Inland Sea, and Shikoku mountain range and the city of Marugame and Imabari in the distance. Seto Inland Sea is an inland sea inserted into Honshu, Shikoku, and Kyushu, and the prefecture of 11 has the coastline. It is area of 450 km in east and west and 15 to 55 km in north and south. Since it is warm and there is little rainfall, it is counted by one of the areas most blessed with climate in Japan. Moreover, this is good fishery place which 400-500 kinds of fish is living. Many Island beuties of Seto Inland Sea were evaluated in 1934 and it became the first national park "Setonaikai National Park" in Japan at the same period with Unzen and Kirishima. And, around from 1955, heavy and chemical industries, such as oil kombinat, chemical plant, an iron mill, and a shipyard developed into the coastline, and this area is one of major industry of Japan also in the present on it.
The soft afternoon light was illuminating and dazzling the water surface gently.
