Photographer's Note

Here is a small temple("Fukuchi-in") where there exists in the gap of Nara-machi. The main temple is construction in 1254(Keichou six years). This temple has 567 Ksiti-garbha, and i have not seen them splendid like this. Main temple and large Ksiti-garbha are specified for the important cultural asset.

The ground warehouse buddhist saint (and Skt:Ksiti-garbha) is one of the buddhist saints who are the belief objects of the Buddhism. It is said, "Ground warehouse" translating freely by the compound word of kuksi(earth) and garbha(interior of the womb and womb).

It is assumed that people of suffering are wrapped with the mind of the infinite large benevolence with power that the earth brings up all lives, and it was named from the saved place.

Generally, it is believed as "Child's defense god", and the cake with which the child is pleased well is offered.
