Photographer's Note

On the left bank of Kamo-Gawa River in the downtown of Kyoto, there were people playing with a ball in the late spring (or early summer) sunshine. It is the best season to play outdoors in Kyoto, before the rainy June and the boiling hot midsummer. In July, the city surrounded by mountains will become a big soup pan with no wind. And the season of Gion-Matsuri Festival will come again, just same as the past 1037 years.

Of course, my city Nara (it's 84 years older than Kyoto!) also has festivals in summer. I shall post some pictures of these ancient summer festivals in this year.
