Photographer's Note

It is well known among the people of Kinki Region that there are equally spaced young couples sitting on the right bank of river Kamo-gawa in Kyoto. It seems that they provide an interesting subject of research to the praxeologists.

Of course, this phenomenon is because they don't want to be bothered by other couples.

It may be a funny scene when you see them from the left bank of the river. But when you are among them with a girl (or a boy) whom you love, it must be all different.

Which do you like to be a lover or to be a praxeologist? I think there's no need to say who are happier.....

Buildings behind happy people are the teahouses and restaurants of Ponto-Cho street. Richer and older couples are having good meals and a river view in these restaurants.
