Photographer's Note
The Nijo Castle is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The trees on the castle ground are mainly Japanese cypress. They are evergreen. So, this is not a place to see fall foliage. But the architecture is very impressive. This picture shows one of the gates, called Kara-mon.
