Photographer's Note

In Japan food and art often come together, especially in the more expensive places. There is pleasure in looking, followed by the pleasure in eating. The serves are small, the very opposite of the West's mantra of All You Can Eat where super serves or repetitive helpings are the prize to seek. Plates loaded with food, one thing shoveled on top of another. What bliss! Give me the Japanese way of eating any time.
