Photographer's Note

These real-looking fake food display samples (replicas) are common in Japan seen in restaurants (and Japanese resto around the world) use to advertise their menus. This craft is already an 80-year history, and all models are still individually hand-made by master artisans. The idea originated in a small mountain town in Gifu, and which you can still visit a traditional workshop there.

As you can see in this photo, a two-piece sushi set will cost you 140yen, which is average price in Japan.
