Rows of sake barrels leading into the Meiji shrine in Tokyo. I thought this black and white shot emphasizes the artistic nature of the Japanese characters on the barrels.

You are right--the black and white does work well for the shot and creates emphasis. Your choice of border also is a good continuation of this. I like the close crop and the lines you have created here.

HI Richie,
I think the B&W was a good choice. I agree with the fact it enhances the Japanese characters on the barrels. Framing is fine too. You might want to brighten the whole thing up a bit but other than that, I like it.
