Photographer's Note

This photograph is taken in Shibuya at the now of last year. I was walking toward the direction of Shibuya Station from Yoyogi Park on that day. Many women had gathered in along the road which went into the slope of the Utagawa town across NHK Broadcasting Center. Do you regard this as what? Are you thinking women who have stood in a line before opening of the sale of clothes? I did not understand several weeks, either. Since I was be on my mind a little, I investigated by a keyword called "eggman". Then, I turned out that seemingly this is a musical live house. That is to say, women who gathered here are people who come to see the live music and are waiting for opening. This seem to be the musician of pop or rock genre. Many stores of such a live house are located in the town in Shibuya. That will be because this place originates in the place which symbolizes a young man's social trend. The present age is a time when music CD is difficult to be sold at a record shop by the spread of the downloads from a cell phone or a personal computer. Probably, there is a background the music persons concerned had a sense of crisis, and have found out the way out to such a live house as one of the solutions. Even so, I appreciate their efforts that are waiting cold outside for opening in this way.
