Photographer's Note
Why Samba from Japan? I do not know the reason exactly, but now samba carnival has already become one of common and famous Japanese summer festivals.
Several festivals hold from mid to end in Aug.
She is a pure Japanese and typical cute style of modern Japanese lady, I think.

Takero,
Excellent portrait of this dancer in blue. The stopped action is nice freezing the scene and the slight blur of the hand showing the motion that was happening. The lighting and colors are fantastic and the photo is crisp and sharp.

Dear Takero,
oh - girls-girls-girls - this is always a very popular subject in photos :) Especially such photos of such girls!
Perhaps Samba becomes very international... why not? as long as it brings people joy and happy moments... it's excellent!
I like the moment; excellent POV! very good natural colours - as practically always.
Kind regards,
Elena

Hello dear Takero,
I've just returned from my long summer break away from computer screens (recommended!) and it's great to browse through your recent uploads.
Funny and telling, how your festival pictures show not only local culture (native, exotic...whatever you call it), but also the growing globalism of the world we live in. Your Japanese samba pictures are an obvious example here.
I have very mixed feelings about this whole globalism thing, by the way: it saddens me to see people in the Far-East celebrating Xmas or - god forbid - Thanksgiving Day. But on the other hand, I've been known to wear a Burmese lonji around the house...
Among your Japanese samba shot I prefer the ones which have most feathers in the background.

Hi Takero!
This one is so charming, too! The way you captured her is very fresh, and I like very much the way you framed her movement, with an excellent timing. Her hand and arm seem to underline the breast, and the slight sway of her hip, just suggested, is very well caught. Personally, I would have cropped just a little more up, up her navel, so the blue tissue on her hip would be invisible, but that's nothing. The colors, as well as the dancer, are beautiful.
Bravo, Takero!
Regards
Marine
