Photographer's Note

This photograph is taken from the summer festival performed in the Tokyo downtown area. If this time comes every year, a festival will be held all over the country centering on a shrine. This Tomioka Hachimangu is the shrine which received hospitable protection of the Tokugawa shogun family who was founded in 1627 and worshipped remarkably Yawata Ogami who is Genji's patron saint. People's faith is inherited without changing from the ancient times of Edo to the present age through a change of big history. The stall stood in a row on both sides of the approach, and many visitors were enjoying the festival of summer for the inside of the performance of musical accompaniment and a drum on them in the fair. Outside, the mikoshi was turning around the passage with sufficient influence.
