Photographer's Note

This photograph summarizes the life base of the town in which I live. It is extracted from what was photographed over one year centering on Ōji, Takinogawa, Komagome, and Tabata district. Elements required for people to live, such as a main street, a back alley, a shopping center, living accommodation, a school, a park, a regional facility and a transportation etc, are tied organically in daily life.

Brief explanation of each photograph:
1. upper left: Train/Railway track for transportation
2. upper center: Noodle shop/Parking lot for bicycles/Phone box in front of railway staion
3. upper right: Furukawa garden
4. middle left: Bulletin board and schoolchildren
5. middle center(left): Junior high school students going home
6. middle center(right): Wall painting describing student's dream of elementary school
7. middle right: Apartment
8. lower left: Winding back alley
9. lower center(left): Street
10. lower center(right): Shopping street
11. lower right: Shinto shrine
