Photographer's Note

This is a slope along which it passes as I go to shopping or a station. Although this slope from high ground to the flat ground is about 100m distance, the loose slope continues long. There is the wall of the school at right-hand side and in left-hand side, private houses stand in a row. There is no store which does some shopping in this area of high ground. Inevitably, residents in which are living in high ground get down this hill for going shopping to the supermarket around a station by on foot or a bicycle. Although it does not become pain to young people, it is a slope a little tight to elderly person. In return, an elderly person gets off a bicycle putting shopping goods into the basket of a bicycle in this way, goes up the slope and goes back home. The telegraph pole stood on one side of a slope, and a certain kind of advertising was stretched. It seems that considering the profitability of all ages and countries and trade there is a tendency which a store concentrates on along the circumference of a station with much traffic or a major street.

I like the various vertical lines that are in this photo. Your POV makes it obvious that the slope is steep. Excellent composition, the wall on the right and the buildings on the left help focus on the elderly lady.

Hello Mikio,
The lady could not take this ascending road, neither do I, with the bikes and groceries on the basket.
But, the moment collected well, with good view down the alley, onto the road with green vegetation.
Fine DOF and light managed.

Hello Mikio,
This is a simple but nice photo of the woman bringing home her groceries on her bicycle. The slope looks very steep from this perspective and the woman seems to have a tough job. This is another interesting view of daily life in an ordinary small-scale area of Tokyo, off the tourist track.

She is struggling hard against physics as the slope looks pretty steep for her age but you have caught the moment precisely. Lovely that there's no clutters to distract from main focus, and the environment evokes the feel of isolation. I love the ambient of a peaceful looking street scene. Nicely taken, Well done
