The place of Time-Slip in Tokyo, a photo from Tokyo, Kanto

Photographer's Note

Since I was interested in the remains of the previous home of Ichiyō Higuchi who is a great writer of Meiji Era, I visited this place. This place was located in the alley where at least 300m walked along "Kikuzaka" of Hongo. When I walked along the alley, there was a common pump which draws water and the old well used those days in right-hand side. Seemingly, she and her brother lived in the right-hand side. The wooden house of three stories is located across stairs at the front. Although it is a fairly old building, people live even now.
She left many masterpieces in poverty, making her living by the cut and sewing of a kimono dress. Although it is an occupation woman writer of the beginning of Japan after modernization, the short whole life will be finished at the age of 24. It is put into her portrait by the present Japanese 5000 yen bill.

You shows us a very nice image of the place of the writer, much writers live during them live in a simple house.
Excellent perspective picture nice done.

nice the view of this neighbourhood of the city of Hongo,with the common pump to dominates on the right side of the image.The narrow stairs lead-in the visitor to the interior of the place with the architectural style of the buildings to are well presented.
