Photographer's Note

This photo is one that was taken in Bunkyo Hakusan, Tokyo. As always, I had a walk Korakuen, Hongo, Hakusan vicinity on that day. Here is an area of cottage industry engaged in bookbinding and printing lined, although it is the center in Tokyo. In this place, there are many workplace relationship of printing, probably is related to the educational district with a focus on universities in this area. The situation of a town rate to this seems to be the area which has not suffered the damage of war devastation. The first floor is at work, the second floor is the appearance of the dwelling. As the characteristics of the structure, there looks like mortar coating after the end of the war or boarding house of the Taisho period. And, as a business, it is binding work in addition to the catalog printing, poster printing, flyer printing, etc. of using the machine. In front of the building, collection bag of garbage was placed.
