Photographer's Note
Few tourists visiting the Toshogu shrine in Nikko would see this strange doorway as it's just off the well-worn track. The structure is all it is - just some steps leading to a doorway with nothing on the other side. There is no carving on the other side of the door, and it looks like they haven't been opened for a long time.
