B&W works really well here, as does your formal composition. Slightly tighter framing and a soft blur might make this look more like an old time postcard. Nice work.

Good shot - like the balance b/t the pond/river and the trees. I'd like to see more of the pagoda in the center, though. The canoe on the right adds a nice touch to the photo. Agree w/last poster - has potential to be a postcard.

This is a nice shot. I would have thought a color shot, with the (pink?) cherry blossoms in front of the dark green trees would have made up for the blank sky.
