Photographer's Note

This photograph is taken in the railway vehicle of Keiyo Line for Soga from Tokyo, when I went to Shin-Urayasu in Chiba Prefecture on an errand. So, it's a photograph of an usual daily life and is not special. Even if the vehicles which run the metropolitan area differs in the color of the exterior of a train, its structure and interior design of a train is equally the same. So, facing across the central passage, the seat is located in a line so that it may face each other, and the stationary rings for passengers which stand are located in a line on the seat. And then, the advertisement and promotion of the company are hung up from the ceiling and set on every load of both sides. The seat of the end of vehicles is a priority seat for an old person or a bodily inconvenient person. Air conditioning is cool in summer and heat in winter. Moreover, since there is broadcast of a station which the train stops the next, the passengers will not overshoot, if he/she hears carefully it. The action of the passenger who is in vehicle is various. Someone sleeps, someone is handling mobile phone, someone is chatting with the friend, and someone is looking the outside in front of door. When saying so, those who are doing a newspaper and reading decreased considerably those days. This phenomenon may be the proof to which the time changed into image society from printing culture.
