Photographer's Note

This photograph is taken by Ōami in the northeast part of Chiba Prefecture about 50 km away from Tokyo. Once, although here was area of primary industry such as agriculture, housing land development is following as a suburbs since this is a commuter belt to Chiba or Tokyo in recent years. Now, the harvest of rice had already started in here. When I see from a footpath, there was the rice field with ear of golden color richly, and the rice field which the harvest already finished. The dragonflies were flying about the circumference of the field. I saw the spectacle in which the farmer was harvesting rice using a combine harvester in the distance fortunately. The farmer who is operating the combine had mown the rice silently. I came together close and got a farmer permission of the photograph. Now, it is very convenient since machines can do all process of the harvest without many people's help by hand. The combine harvester threshes mowing rice going back and forth between a rice field, and it supplies only the tip of an ear to the grane tank. The rice was transshipped into the stand of another truck set to the footpath when the tank filled. One of farmers murmured. A producer rice price in this year becomes cheaper than last year. Probably, that rice is carrying out the surplus in the market serves as a backdrop. I was here about 30 minutes and went to way home. It was one hot day.
