both Mt. Fupussi and Mt. Eniwa are post-caldera volcanoes of this big Shikotsu caldera,
and Lake Shikotsu is a caldera lake.

Dear Akihisa,
so, this is the same Lake Shikotsu which was shown in one of your photos posted earlier!
Very beautiful. And again, this view reminds me of a strange, almost fantastic landscape... which looks more like a painting - maybe with special water colours. I heard that mountains have a special soul od their own, and they can "think", "Like" or "dislike" something. When I read Japanese fairy-tales in my childhood, there was a fairy-tale in which a special "spirit of mountains" appeard before the humans :)
But he looked like an old man with a long beard :)

Hi Akihisa, I enjoy TE to see and learn about new places, and this is completely new to me. Well composed and flat horizon. Interesting image, can feel the cold wind around you. TFS. Murray.
