Photographer's Note

This photograph is taken in the Ōtsuki suburbs in Yamanashi Prefecture in September four years ago. This is an area along the Fujikyuko Line running 26.6 km from Ōtsuki to Kawaguchiko at the nearest station in Mt. Fuji. I got off at Tanokura station, in order to take the photograph of the crop season of rice. I walked about 10 minutes from the station, and arrived at pastoral field. It was a day with fresh/sunny autumnal weather on that day. The ear of rice was dyed golden color and had greeted the rich crop. When I neighborhood-came together and having been seen, the red dragonfly is flying to the surroundings of an ear of rice, and it had attached coloring for the season of autumn. In fields, rice reaping is finished in some places, and the ear which fruited is hung on the pole for the increasement of nourishment by the sunlight. Around, the farmer's figure was seldom seen. This is the basin surrounded by the low mountains in the circumference. Occasionally, the local train passed the foot of the mountain slowly. The illustration of Mt. Fuji was prettily drawn on the body of a train.
