Photographer's Note

After defeated and drove out of Korea in 1592, Japan lived self sufficient for three centuries in peace. Then she opened her door to the world in 1868 when the Franco-Prussian War was about to broke out. We learned much of "Modern civilization" from the international disputes then. The bugle was the symbol of the modernism telling emergency or something extraordinary.
