Photographer's Note
In my second posting of the Japanese Snow Monkeys...
This wild adult Macque scrounges through the snow looking for morsels of food. Due to the climate this time of year, that would consist of seeds or roots mainly.
I really like this shot as it clearly shows the intensity in his eyes. The Snow Macaque is characterized by its red face, on which no hair grows. Older animals have redder faces; those of young or sexually immature animals are often lighter.

Hi Dan,
My photo companion just return from Japan and spend a few days here to photograph them. His works looks very promissing and seeing this it also shows high quality in colour and sharpness. That red face and those eyes are amazing...wonderful piece of work. Normally i don't react on animals on TE, but would like to make an exception to this one....very nice.
Have a nice day,
Henk

salut Dan,
très belle réalisation, le pov rasant dirige l'oeil droit sur sa frimousse rosée et ses grands yeux. Excellente netteté de l'ensemble.
