Photographer's Note

I guess after traveling around Asia for so long, it is inevitable to post a photo of a rice paddy. Right?! So I thought I'd add my perspective of a rice paddy. As I am currently living in the countryside of Japan, there are ample opportunities to get up close to the paddies. This one was taken in a small town in the north of Ishikawa. A place international tourists would never visit, in fact a place Japanese tourists would almost never visit. The only reason I have been here is I was visiting a friend living here.

I had to get on my stomach with my camera almost in the water. Bugs everywhere (hence my title) and the smell wasn't the most pleasant. Just before the sun was gone for the day. But I thought it was a different view then the standard rice paddy (I have posted an above angle as a workshop).
