Photographer's Note
Nothing special from Denpasar.
In Poland and in most other countries (not in Sweden, as far as I know) all schools and universities are closed. In Poland, the children have classes on-line.
When I was in Bali, only three weeks ago, the schools worked normally. I saw these children in the courtyard of the elementary school. At first, they didn't see me. But after a minute or so, they noticed a woman with the camera.
Indonesians are required to attend nine years of school. They can choose between state-run, nonsectarian public schools supervised by the Department of National Education (Depdiknas) or private or semiprivate religious (usually Islamic) schools supervised and financed by the Department of Religious Affairs. After completion of the six-year primary-school program, three years of junior secondary school may be followed by three years of senior secondary school; or students can choose among a variety of vocational and pre-professional junior and senior secondary schools, each level of which requires three years of study. After secondary school, students may choose either three years of postsecondary vocational and pre-professional schools or three years of high school. The completion rate for Indonesian primary schools is excellent. Indeed, 100 percent of the relevant age-group had completed primary education as of 2003, according to World Bank data. The gross enrollment rate for primary schools was 100 percent, but it decreased to 62 percent for secondary schools and 16 percent for postsecondary schools. Most school children in Indonesian wear uniforms. The school year begins in July. Children attend classes from 7:00am to 12:30 and from 1:00pm to 5:30pm. There are school fees and fees for uniforms and books.
I hope you will find it interesting.

Hello Malgo,
It's funny to see the difference between the two photos and how the kids reacted when they saw the foreign lady taking photos. This may be nothing special, but it's a nice view of daily life of a kind that doesn't get into TE so often. I like it.
In Sweden universities and the schools for those above 16 are closed, but of course the classes are held online. So far the pre-schools and lower grades (7-15) are open because it is regarded as a burden to society to keep the kids at home, which would force parents who may be needed in important jobs to stay home, or even worse: force vulnerable grandparents to take care of them.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hello Malgo,
I enjoyed seeing this school lesson.
It must be so much fun to sit outside whilst doing lessons.
If the weather was good, I would always try to take my class out, if it was possible to study the subject in this way. However, we don't have the same pleasant climate!
I smiled when I saw the effect your presence had on the children. I'm sure it's a gender thing, that the boys will always come forward laughing, whilst girls are much more discrete, though interested!
Take care and keep safe,
Bev :-)

Hi Malgo,
Same in Canada all the scholls, colleges and universities are closed. You have captured well the action of the students enjoying a rest period. The colours are beautiful. Have a nice day.

Hello Malgo,
A good photo of these children sitting in groups (apart from one in the foreground) in the schoolyard. It is a nice detail that their uniforms have the same colour as the window frames. Maybe they are now at home also, because their school is closed, and my Indonesian colleagues are also teaching online classes, just like me.

Hello, the children are having a snack during the break. They are seated in the school courtyard, they wear uniforms. The boys eat separately from the girls. Fine colors, good sharpness, interesting photo note, regards.
