Photographer's Note
Pura Ulun Danu Beratan, or Pura Bratan, is a major Hindu Shaivite water temple on Bali, Indonesia. The temple complex is located on the shores of Lake Bratan in the mountains near Bedugul. Water temples serve the entire region in the outflow area; downstream there are many smaller water temples that are specific to each irrigation association (subak).[1]rnrnBuilt in 1633, this temple is used for offerings ceremony to the Balinese water, lake and river goddess Dewi Danu, due to the importance of Lake Bratan as a main source of irrigation in central Bali. The 11-storey pelinggih meru in the complex is dedicated to Shiva and his consort Parvathi. Buddha's statue is also enshrined in this temple. This temple is also called as Bali temple on the lake because it looks like it is floating when the Bratan river water rises.WikipediarnrnrnrnWe were kucky to seee there people during ceremony and not the tourists. Hello Malgo, a carefully composed shot, beautifully balanced.
The brightly coloured flowers make a very agreeable foreground feature.
Interesting and informative notes.
Thanks for sharing, regards Jean.

Hello Malgo,
I saw a number of temples on Bali, including the small private temple in the courtyard of the Brahim family where I was staying, but I didn't see this. In the main photo we get a good look at the architecture, with bright flowers adorning the foreground. The WS give me my required level of human presence and activities.
Best wishes,
Gert

Hi Malgo
so you're out on the run again, travelling to another country...have you been to this country before? just wondering.
I'm sure Gert would have posted the WS photo as the main haha.
the overcast day gave you diffused lighting, which I personally quite like. smart to use the flowers in the lower fg to give some color pops. Nice one. Safe journey!
cheers

Hello Malgo,
A great shot of this temple complex at the lake. The tower on the right hand side looks so beautiful and elegant. The composition is very well-balanced as well and the flowers help to add some extra colour to this cloudy day.

Hello Malgo,
This is a delightful photograph, just what we would expect from Bali.
The red and yellow flowers, anchoring the f/g, really set the scene, whilst the temple and pagoda confirm the Eastern location.
The sky may be cloudy but the colours are still bright.
My warm regards,
Bev😊

Hi Malgo,
The flowers are an eye-catcher. The point of view is showing the details of the temples. The cloudy sky does not hurt the colours output. Have a nice day.

Hello Malgo,
This is a beautiful scene. I like the colorful flowers in the foreground, and the shapes of the structures. The moody sky also adds some extra atmosphere. This is a great shot from Bali.

Hello Malgo,
I also went to Bedugal when I was in Bali. Nice to see you adding yet another country to your TE list. The fg canna lilies add a bright splash of red and yellow. Tfs!

Hi Malgo
I'm glad that you are getting up into the interior away from the mad Kuta area. I remember this spot very well but there seems to be a lot more development over to the right.
cheers

Hello, the red flowers are well included in the fg and add a romantic side to the place. The temple is located on a lake. I like the pagodas architectural style. The clouds were grey announcing rain. Fine colors, good sharpness, interesting photo note, regards.
