Photographer's Note

A universal subject that I guess everyone with a camera has experienced ..........

This was taken in Penggajawa fishing village in Ende, Central Flores Island of some curious kids, children of local fishermen who wanted to look at my camera. Typical kids are always wanting their pics taken, triggering themselves to get more and more excited, everyone wants to be closest to the lens and clambers over each other to get into the shots.

They indeed are wonderful fun loving kids putting on a bit of a show for my lens but their faces are funny and adorable. There is nothing like the innocent play of children to warm the heart, these fellas are always great subjects around the world and when you do take them, what do they do;
stick their tongues out!

On the fly point and shoot, without composing or looking at the viewfinder, lens manually pre-focused and aperture preset at max opening to counter balance the low light.
